Note: Duncan Mackinnon Crockford was born in Tobermory, Isle of Mull, Scotland and trained at the Glasgow School of Art. After serving five years in the Royal Air Force, and following a 1953 New York exhibition, “Duncan” moved to Canada in 1954, settling in Alberta. Duncan resided in Canmore and later Bearspaw. This example is an early work painted shortly after the artist’s arrival.
