Note: Phillips originally produced this print as a colour woodcut for his Christmas greeting of 1921. He then reworked the image and issued it again as his Christmas greeting of 1952. This engraving is the final print Phillips produced. It is illustrated on the final page (252) of “The Tranquility and the Turbulence: The Life and Work of Walter J. Phillips (Roger Boulet; M. B. Loates Publishing; 1981).
