Note: Artists Frank and Caroline Armington made Paris their home after continuing their art studies there and marrying in 1900. For almost four decades, they travelled throughout France, and to numerous countries including Belgium, England, Italy, Sweden, and Algeria, locations which provided inspiration for their work. They exhibited regularly in the European salons and made frequent trips to North America to exhibit their work. Primarily known for their etchings, this rare large canvas by Frank Armington depicts the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris from the vantage point of the Quai aux Fleurs.
