Provenance: “Family of Birds with Fish” is accompanied by a letter of authentication from Bryant Ross, Morrisseau’s former business manager and the Director of Coghlan Art Studio and Gallery (Aldergrove BC). This painting was executed at Coghlan Art Studio circa 1989 and sold (1990) to a private collector (White Rock, BC); the painting was re-acquired by Coghlan Art Studio (2010) and subsequently sold through Seahawk Auctions (2012) into the collection of Gino Restivo (Edmonton AB); Hodgins Art Auctions sold the painting (2021) into the collection of Dr. Bruce Hoffman (Calgary AB).
