Note: The son of a miner, the entrepreneurial Frank McMahon became one of Alberta’s most successful businessmen. He was not only integral to Alberta’s oil and gas industry, but his ventures also included coal, real estate, distilleries and steel-pipe mills. He and his brother also donated and guaranteed the money to build McMahon Stadium.
