Note: This work was prepared by Charlie Beil as a representation of the bronze model “The Chuckwagon” that was to be presented to Maurice E. Hartnett on his retirement as General Manager from the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede. As the bronze was not completed in time, this “sketch” sufficed to demonstrate the bronze to Mr. Hartnett and assembled guests at the testimonial dinner of July 7th, 1965.
