Note: Alec Nicotine was a neighbour of Allen Sapp’s on the Red Pheasant Reserve. As a boy, Allen would work with the men on the reserve, often with his grandfather (Albert Soonias) and Alec, performing chores such as cutting wood, harvesting, tending to the horses and loading hay. As Allen Sapp’s paintings are based on his memories of life on the reserve, Alec Nicotine has appeared in a number or works.
